The Chicago Blackhawks provided an injury update on one of their key forwards ahead of the next game, set to go down Wednesday against the Minnesota Wild.
The Blackhawks will be back in action on Wednesday evening as they host the Minnesota Wild following three straight regulation-time losses to the Seattle Kraken, Buffalo Sabres, and Colorado Avalanche.
Despite these losses, the team showed promising efforts that suggest the players are on the verge of taking another massive step in their development.
However, the three losses make the next game against the Wild, a division rival, even more crucial.
Ahead of that matchup, Hawks head coach Jeff Blashill provided an injury update regarding one of the most important forwards on the team.
Ahead of the Hawks' next game, Jeff Blashill shared an update on the forward, who was spotted wearing a grey non-contact jersey on the ice yesterday with skills coach Brian Keane.
He missed the last two games but remains in the third spot on the team among scorers, with seven goals and eight assists in 18 games.
Blashill revealed that the veteran forward is still day-to-day and that more details on his situation should be made available in the coming days.
In his own words:
"He's still day-to-day. I'll probably know more tomorrow, and we'll go from there. But he's progressing."
Details and updates on Burakovsky's health ahead of the game against the Wild will come. Stay tuned.
