"8 years ago, my Dad was diagnosed with Stage 3 Colon cancer and last night he gave me the surprise of a lifetime that will go down as one of my most cherished memories on #HockeyFightsCancer night.
To those battling cancer, You are not alone. To those who know someone in a battle, reach out to them as they embark on life's hardest fight; a text, a call, or a letter can make the biggest difference, even though it may seem small. My Dad is living proof that love, positivity, and support give us all the best chance to eradicate cancer.
Thank you to the entire @utahmammoth organization and the @NHL for making this possible, it's a moment that we as a family will never forget.
There's no one in this world I'm more proud of than my Dad, as he continues to be a beacon of hope that one day we can all say, «Hockey Beats Cancer».
