After trading Lukas Reichel to the Vancouver Canucks, the Chicago Blackhawks could make an intriguing addition involving one of two players.

The Chicago Blackhawks decided to end the Lukas Reichel era with their franchise when they traded him to the Vancouver Canucks on October 24 for a fourth round pick in the 2027 NHL Entry Draft.
But the Blackhawks have managed to keep rolling on, as their 10 wins so far has given them their best start to a season since they last made the playoffs in 2019-20 when players like Jonathan Toews, Patrick Kane, Duncan Keith and Corey Crawford were all still playing for the team.
But if the Blackhawks wanted to add additional depth to make up for the loss of Reichel, there are two players they could consider, one from an Original 6 foe and the other from the divisional foe Columbus Blue Jackets.

Nick Robertson Or Yegor Chinakhov Would Fit In Chicago's Bottom Six

Both Nick Robertson of the Toronto Maple Leafs and Yegor Chinakhov would be ideal fits for the Blackhawks to consider, as they'd fit in as part of their bottom six forward units.
Neither player is considered a high-scoring forward, but teams can never have too much depth, especially for those who are looking to make a run to the playoffs for what would be the first time since 2020.
Chinakhov was taken with the 21st overall pick by the Blue Jackets in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft and has four points (2G, 2A) in 14 games so far this year.
Robertson was taken by the Maple Leafs with the 53rd overall pick in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft, and has 11 points (5G, 6A) in 18 games so far this year.
Neither player is expensive. Both are pending RFA's at the end of this year; Chinakhov has an AAV (average annual value) of $2.1 million, and Robertson's is $1,825,000.
