Mitch Marner gets emotional in what sounds like his final interview as a Toronto Maple Leafs

The Maple Leafs gave it their all in a hard fought seven game series against the Florida Panthers, but they were outshined by an experienced group of veterans, including 37-year old former Boston Bruins forward Brad Marchand.

Marchand cemented his name in the NHL history books, becoming the first player in NHL history to beat the same franchise five times in a winner-takes-all game and decided to take a jab at the Leafs in his postgame comments.

On the other end of things, Mitch Marner's future in Toronto appears all but confirmed after his post Game 7 interview, where he addressed how honored he was to wear the Maple Leafs sweater.

The 28-year old forward's name has been swirling in trade rumors and he appeared emotionally devastated, revealing he's been grateful that the organization decided to take a risk on drafting a 'small kid from Toronto'.

Marner refused to comment on his future in Toronto.

Maple Leafs fans' tensions were at an all-time high and boiled over, Marner himself was nearly struck by a jersey, while a beer was tossed on their bench as well.

What's next for the Leafs organization is unknown, but it does not look pretty on the Mitch Marner side of things.
