Patrick Kane Loses A Significant Amount of Money in Condo Sale in Trump Tower

Chicago Blackhawks' Patrick Kane isn't a loser. He's a three-time Stanley Cup champion and still has the "showtime" flair we all know and love.

With the Red Wings, he scored a total of 59 points this season and posted his 17th-20+ goal season in his career. However, when it comes to real estate, it's a whole different ballgame.

The former Blackhawk listed the condo on the 69th floor for sale originally with an asking price of $3 million in May 2024. The condo has a generous size of 3,100 square feet, but there wouldn't be any takes until this March.

He'd reduce the price significantly as interest never peaked, he'd take the price down to $2.5 million, and then $2.11 million, where it'd be bought this March. A significant loss, a sum of $990K in value compared to what he paid for it originally in 2016.

While he has won three Stanley Cup's his investment in Trump Tower has, in fact, hurt his pocketbook.

Kane also owns a $5 million mansion in Lake Forest, Michigan, and still owns a condo on the 33rd floor of the Trump Tower, which he bought in 2008. He also owns a condo he bought for $6.46 million in 2019, a mile away from Trump Tower on Walton Street.

It may be an effort on Kane's part to pare down excess properties, or maybe just a quick way to get out of an investment that's gone underwater.

Kane played for the Detroit Red Wings this season and scored 59 points (21 goals, 38 assists) and was one of the team's best wingers in 2024-2025.
