Happy Gilmore 2 features unexpected Cameo of Chicago Blackhawks legend Chris Chelios

The new movie Happy Gilmore 2 featured a surprise cameo of a Chicago Blackhawks legend that went unnoticed.
Adam Sandler's long-awaited sequel to his classic golf comedy has finally arrived, and while it's packed with laughs, heart, and a fair share of nostalgia, it also delivered something no one saw coming - a blink-and-you'll-miss-it appearance from Blackhawks icon Chris Chelios, who recently made the news for other reasons.
The Hall of Famer plays a mob bodyguard alongside fellow former NHLer Sean Avery.
Chris Chelios has a cameo in Happy Gilmore 2
For Hawks fans who followed Chelios's career in Chicago, it was a fun little surprise to see him appear in the movie.
Avery has acted before, so his inclusion isn't too shocking. But Chelios' surprised more people.
The two bring a quiet intensity to their brief scene, and knowing their NHL past makes it that much better.
The cameos started making the rounds online after BR Open Ice shared a clip:

But this wasn't the only reference to hockey. Sandler also included a subtle tribute to the late Johnny Gaudreau, something that didn't go unnoticed by fans:
