The Chicago Blackhawks have been named among the potential teams that could be interested in St. Louis Blues forward Jordan Kyrou if he were moved.
The divisional foes Chicago Blackhawks and St. Louis Blues are going in opposite directions, as the Blackhawks are off to a vastly improved start this year while the Blues are near the bottom of the Western Conference.
Even though the Blues are going to the playoffs right now, they're second to last in the division at 6-9-4.
Meanwhile, the Blackhawks are 9-5-4.
The Blues are going to have to start thinking about moving some players if things don't improve for them, and one player named in trade rumors is Jordan Kyrou.
An analyst has recently given us confirmation that Kyrou to the Blackhawks isn't something to rule out.
"Having spent the past three seasons rebuilding, Chicago has a mix of promising young players and experienced veterans. They could use a natural right wing among their top-six forwards to provide a boost to their offense.
The opportunity to play alongside Bedard could be attractive for Kyrou. Chicago is a team on the rise, which could mean he'd spend most of the remaining five years of his contract with a club that could become a Stanley Cup contender in the near future."
So far this year, Kyrou has 11 points (6G, 5A) in 18 games.
Jordan Kyrou has been a lifelong Blue: Could that change?
Kyrou was taken with the 35th overall pick by the Blues in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft, and he's played his entire career in a Blues sweater.
He started playing shortly after the Blues won the Stanley Cup in 2019.
Kyrou has 343 points (156G, 187A) in 434 career games, all with the Blues. He still has multiple years left on his contract with an AAV (average annual value) of $8.125 million.
