The Chicago Blackhawks are once again going to be shorthanded when they take on the struggling Calgary Flames Tuesday at the United Center.
It will be a great chance for the Chicago Blackhawks to pick up another win tonight and add to their impressive start to the year, as they play the struggling Calgary Flames, who are the worst team in the Pacific Division by a wide margin.
At 5-12-3, they're six points back of the second-to-last-ranked team, the Sharks.
But the Blackhawks are not going to be at full strength when they face the Flames, as forward Tyler Bertuzzi was not at the morning skate today. Additionally, Jason Dickinson was present, but he will not be playing.
Bertuzzi was named a game-time decision for Chicago's game against their Original 6 foe, the Toronto Maple Leafs, on Saturday, which they won 3-2 without him.
The team has not clarified exactly what his injury is, but it could possibly be related to when he took a dirty elbow to the back of the head from New Jersey Devils defenseman Brendan Dillon last week, which resulted in a meager $5,000 fine.
So far in his second year in a Chicago sweater, Bertuzzi has 15 points (9G, 6A).
