Former Chicago Blackhawks defenseman Chris Chelios is listing his Malibu mansion on the beachfront for the incredible price of almost $60 million.

It pays to be a professional athlete, as they're able to afford some of the most in-demand properties and lifestyles that others can only dream about.
Former Chicago Blackhawks defenseman Chris Chelios, who has maintained a property on the beach in Malibu, an exclusive suburb of Los Angeles, is selling it and wants nearly $60 million in return for it.
Per The Vancouver Sun, it's a spacious property with multiple features.
"The house, which was built in 1982, features four bedrooms, five bathrooms, a large kitchen with high-end appliances, two garages and a massive rooftop deck - not to mention beach access from another cabana/patio area. The house also features a media/game room, a hot tub and a barrel sauna.

According to the house's listing, the three-storey primary dwelling «is highlighted by a fireside living room that opens to an al fresco lounging and entertaining deck, plus a kitchen sporting an eat-in island and a breakfast nook."

The Blackhawks Retired Chris Chelios' No. 7 Sweater Number In 2024

Chelios became the latest former Blackhawks player to have his sweater number retired, with the previous most recent player being Marian Hossa.
He gave a special pre-game speech prior to a game in February of 2024 against another one of his former teams, the Detroit Red Wings, a former bitter divisional foe of Chicago.
The Red Wings beat the Blackhawks 3-2 in OT after former Blackhawks forward Patrick Kane scored the OT GWG.
