'The Best Ever'? NHL Scouts Have High Praise For an Upcoming Prospect
It is widely believed that Connor McDavid was among the best NHL players of his time, a true generational talent. He set a high standard for up-and-coming players, and it appears that Connor Bedard is poised to meet that challenge.
Teams are in a frenzy trying to secure the top spot in the draft lottery to select the promising young center.
"He can walk into the NHL and be one of the top shooters right now; he's by far the best player I've ever scouted," said Tim Campbell. "Bedard's size (5-foot-10, 185 pounds) at the next level won't be an issue either, because he's like a tank. He's solid, rolls off hits and can counter-hit people. He's like a running back in the NFL. He can take hits and he's good at protecting himself."
NHL scouts are extremely excited about Bedard's potential. Tim Campbell, who scouted Bedard during the 2019-2020 season, believes that Bedard not only possesses the necessary skills but also the size to make a significant impact on the ice.
The team that ends up with the first pick in the draft will likely acquire a generational talent who could be NHL-ready at a young age.
