According to Jeff Marek, Connor Bedard will not be taking part in the World Hockey Championships in May.
No details were given at the time, as to why Bedard will not be playing, but one could easily suspect it's his draft-eligible year he's not going to injure himself in the World Hockey Championships as the #1 prospect in the NHL Entry Draft.
The young center had his playoff hopes cut short as the Regina Pats were eliminated by the Saskatoon Blades in 7 games. Bedard put up an impressive 20 points against the Blades.
The world will be deprived of Bedard's talent, his international tournament success cannot be understated as he put up 23 points the 2023 World Juniors.
