Mitch Marner's huge slip-up in Golden Knights opening press conference could cost Vegas punishment by the NHL

Are the Vegas Golden Knights about to be in trouble with the NHL? That's what some are speculating after an accidental slip up by new forward Mitch Marner.
The Toronto Maple Leafs officially moved on from Mitch Marner, trading him to the Vegas Golden Knights as part of a sign-and-trade deal that netted them Nicolas Roy in return.
Marner had played his entire NHL career with the Maple Leafs up until this summer, and while he had no problem racking up the points during regular season play, his performance in the postseason garnered scrutiny.
He and the Maple Leafs only won a pair of postseason series during his tenure, and never advanced past the 2nd round.
While it was almost a foregone conclusion that Marner would leave the Maple Leafs after he cancelled his annual Toronto charity event, are the Golden Knights potentially in danger of being in trouble with the NHL?
During his introductory news presser, Marner admitted that he spoke with several Golden Knights players who were on the Canadian squad during the 4 Nations Faceoff, including Mark Stone and Adin Hill, about what living in Las Vegas was like.
Just talking to them about the living style and everything like that, from my side of things, there wasn't too much real talk about coming to Vegas at that time but was more like trying to win a gold at the 4 Nations with those guys, and just playing beside them and getting to know them.
Marner's new 8-year deal with the Golden Knights carries an AAV (average annual value) of $12 million, a $1.1 million raise from the $10.9 million that he made the last several years with Toronto.
He'll also get to keep more of his paycheque, as Nevada doesn't make residents pay state income tax.
