An NHL analyst has revealed that the Chicago Blackhawks are set to make three major adjustments to the franchise this offseason if they intend to become playoff contenders again.

The Chicago Blackhawks endured yet another season the team is not proud of, and in order for this franchise to do a full turnaround, there are some things that will have to happen this offseason.
An NHL analyst, Rob Couch, from The Hockey News, revealed three major changes the Chicago Blackhawks will need to make in order to secure postseason contention for the upcoming 2025/26 NHL season.
1. Give the young players a chance
The Chicago Blackhawks need to put more trust into their younger players. Once injuries hit and veterans were traded or sent down, the Hawks' young talents got a chance to prove they could shine, and they did just that.
Unfortunately, general manager, Kyle Davidson, made a mistake by signing too many older players, as it has ultimately blocked opportunities for the younger ones, such as Frank Nazar, Sam Rinzel, and others.
However, every single one of these players undoubtedly proved they deserve full-time spots in the Blackhawks lineup next season, so fans can hope the organization's front office recognizes that.
2. Invest in a top forward
Going into this year's offseason, the Blackhawks have plenty of money to spend, even with contracts for young players coming up.
This being said, they have the funds to bring a big-name forward to boost their offensive, and it could easily increase their success rate.
Young stars such as Connor Bedard and Frank Nazar can not carry the team alone at their age, so acquiring a skills and knowledgeable forward would be extremely beneficial for these young key-players.
3. Hire a new and improved head coach
Many reporters and fans have already begun expressing their desire for the Chicago Blackhawks to acquire a replacement head coach for Anders Sorensen.
The Blackhawks are currently in an extreme rebuild, due to the fact they owned the NHL basement for majority of the year, and in order for this team to excel, all players, especially the young ones, need the proper guidance in order for the franchise to succeed.
No matter what GM Kyle Davidson does this offseason, we can hope it is a very busy summer for Chicago.
