Chicago heads into Thursday night's game against the Los Angeles Kings riding a wave of optimism after Connor Bedard had an impressive showing against the Vegas Golden Knights in their last game, a 4-3 shootout loss on Tuesday.

The team is hoping that spark keeps burning between their top line duo of Connor Bedard and Andre Burakovsky.
The second line will include Teuvo Teravainen centering Frank Nazar and Ryan Donato, with Colton Dach, Ryan Greene, and Jason Dickinson forming the third.
Chicago Blackhawks Projected Lines:

Bedard's recent highlight-reel efforts have been impossible to ignore. In the Blackhawks' comeback win over the Anaheim Ducks last Sunday, he scored twice and added two assists, powering a 5-3 victory from a 3-0 hole.
In another recent game, he delivered a stunning goal even in a loss, after being on the ice for a lengthy shift.

Bedard's form meets Kings' challenge head-on

If Bedard brings the same energy tonight, Chicago might have a real chance. The Kings remain a strong squad, but Bedard's speed and scoring touch could carve holes in their defense, which is currently without defenseman Drew Doughty due to injury.
