Caleb Williams, the quarterback of the NFL's Chicago Bears, shared a message on social media for Connor Bedard after he scored a hat trick on Tuesday night.
The Chicago Blackhawks won their 10th game yesterday, 5-2 over the lowly Calgary Flames, the lowest-ranked team in the Western Conference.
And they did it on the back of a hat trick from third-year forward Connor Bedard, who was taken with the first overall pick in the 2023 NHL Entry Draft.
And he caught the attention of Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams, who posted a message to him on social media:
If Bedard continues playing like this, he could make the choice for the executives at Canada for the Olympics in February more difficult on whether he makes the team or not.
Right now, Bedard has 26 points (10G, 16A).
Connor Bedard Is Having Fun Winning and Caleb Williams Can See it
Connor Bedard, who is wearing the "A" on his sweater for the first time in his career, said after the win that he and his teammates are having a lot of fun.
"It's been fun. We're obviously early, 19 games in, but it's just been a lot of fun. We're so determined to go out there and win. You know, even today, we give up a goal, obviously get them back into the game end of the second, right at the start of the third they score, that's something that can deflate a team, but we go back out there, we get another one, then we get another one.
We're just really determined. We have a lot fun together. We love each other and we want to play for each other. That's shows a lot."

Even though it's only 19 games into the new season, the Blackhawks are inspiring hockey fans to believe in them again.
