Rangers Fan Receives Official Sentence After Assaulting Lightning Fan During Playoffs

Flashback into the heated playoff series between the Tampa Bay Lightning and New York Rangers, things got heated after the Rangers playoffs were over when the Lightning defeated them by the score of 3-1. The Rangers fan has plead guilty for assaulting the Lightning fan. The video can be seen below.
James Anastasio who is 29 years of age was officially sentenced to serve 200 hours of community service as a result of the assault, and was also sentenced to attend a anger management course. The video went viral, and earned Anastasio a life-time ban at the Madison Square Garden. The Tampa Bay Lightning's CEO (owner) even reached out to the fan who was sucker-punched, the text messages can be seen below.
The assaulters attorney says that his client is happy with the sentence and is going to take full responsability for his actions. Goldman, his lawyer, said the following to Tampa Bay Times ''None of us should be judged by our worst 30 seconds, and he is grateful to learn from this experience and not have to spend a single day in jail''.
