Ottawa Senators Make Another Steal of a Signing: Ink Free Agent Former First around Pick to a Deal

The Ottawa Senators came to terms with their pending ufa defenseman.

Pierre Dorion came to terms on a contract extension with defenseman Erik Brannstrom ahead of the 2022-23 NHL regular season.
The contract will see the young Swede making $900,000 during the upcoming season.
Brannstrom was a first-round draft selection in the 2017 NHL Draft at 15 overall by the Vegas Golden Knights. He was traded to the Senators in the Mark Stone trade.

Certainly with Chabot, Brannstrom and Sanderson in the fold, all under 25-years-old. The Senators have a youthful movement on their blueline, along the likes of Jacob Bernard-Docker, Tyler Kleven and Lassi Thomson.
