There has recently been a investigation within the hockey Canada organization and a female victim who was allegedly sexually assaulted by not one team Canada player, but eight of them. After a hook up at a bar that the two agreed upon, the team Canada player invited the female back to his hotel, where he then allegedly invited a whopping 8 players to come perform sexual activity on the female WITHOUT her consent.
This dates back to the 2018 world junior championship, and team Canada's roster has many notable names in there who have now developed into NHL players: 8 on this list were involved in the alleged sexual assault case, but are not being identified.
The individual/individuals involved have been kept a secret, hockey Canada fails to make a statement on the players who were involved in the alleged sexual assault. Many frustrated, as they should be- more info was revealed by the Globe News which stated that Hockey Canada used parents funding to pay off the sexual assault victim a large amount of $3.3 million dollars at once. Multiple sponsors such as Canadian Tire, Tim Hortons, St.Hubert's Scotia Bank, Gatorade and more have officially cut their partnership with Hockey Canada, and other should consider doing the same as they are hiding a serious issue at the moment.
Robert Thomas a popular name among the list as he just signed a long term $8 million dollar deal as he's broken out as a star in St.Louis, he is only 23 years old and has put up 77 points in the 2021-22 season.
St.Louis Blues Robert Thomas took the stand to twitter to release a statement regarding the allegations:
I am aware of the allegations made against some of the members of the 2018 Canadian World Junior Hockey team in London, Ontario in June of 2018. It is important for me to share with you my response to these allegations. I had no involvement in, nor did I witness,
the alleged incident. I look forward to cooperating with the NHL investigation as well as any other investigation if appropriate and as required. I will not be making any further public comments at this time.
