The Pittsburgh Penguins ended up in a rough playoff drought throughout the playoffs suffering multiple injuries throughout their roster, two of them being there number one and number two goaltenders Tristan Jarry and Casey DeSmith.

Casey DeSmith nervously got the call when Tristan Jarry went down, and DeSmith stood TALL! His confidence seemed through the roof during his appearances in round one of the 2022 playoffs against the New York Rangers- but some thought it would be his last season in a Penguins uniform as many teams had the free agent goaltender on their radar.
You can scratch him off the free agent list as the on July 5th he agreed to re-sign in Pittsburgh for another two years, at a steal of a deal for $1,8 million per season.
DeSmith hopes he bounce back healthier than ever as he has suffered multiple core muscle injuries that required surgery twice, but the team has reported he's fully recovered!
