The Chicago Blackhawks have made a significant move by signing their top prospect, Connor Bedard, to a three-year entry-level contract on his 18th birthday.

Bedard, who was selected as the No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 NHL Draft, expressed his enthusiasm about joining the team and being part of their rich history.

Although he is not eligible to play in the AHL next season due to Canadian Hockey League rules, Bedard is expected to make the Blackhawks' Opening Night roster.
