Last night was the final time we'd see Marc-Andre Fleury in the NHL, playing one last game in the league, and his moment was ruined in the Pittsburgh Penguins' home, the PPG Paints Arena, by Luca Del Bel Belluz.

Last night was the final time we'd see Marc-Andre Fleury suiting up for any team in the NHL.
He was playing on a symbolic PTO (professional tryout offer) in order to play one final game in a Penguins uniform and say goodbye to his fans in Pittsburgh.
The Penguins and the Columbus Blue Jackets would compete that night, as the game would end in a shootout.
The veteran goaltender took over the crease in the third and put a stop to all of the Blue Jackets' plans that night. However, the resulting shootout would have mixed results for Fleury and fans.
The shootout is where the wheels would fall off for him, and the night would be ruined for Fleury by Columbus Blue Jackets rookie Luca Del Bel Belluz.
Belluz would pot one in the net during the shoot, leaving a sour taste in Flower's mouth after taking the reins for the remainder of the night.

Marc-Andre Fleury ends his career with a win against the Blue Jackets

While the Blue Jackets' rookie Belluz created a highlight reel play of his own, the Penguins would be victorious with Fleury's help.
Fleury finished the night with a record of 8 saves on 8 shots against, and a 1.000 save percentage in his final start.
The Pittsburgh Penguins fans were privileged to see such a great end to a future Hall of Famer's career, as he will hang up the skates again.
Fleury ended the night as the first star of the game and would take time to speak to his fans before leaving the NHL once and for all.
The goaltender retired at the end of the 2024-25 NHL season and can now rest as he awaits his turn to enter the hall and honor his name in the annals of hockey history.
