Rough starts happen, and Spencer Knight just lived one against the Anaheim Ducks with the Chicago Blackhawks at United Center.

The game had barely settled before the Ducks carved through the slot.
Perhaps the Blackhawks' decision to bench Spencer Knight while debuting their new 'blackout' alternate jerseys at home on Friday snapped him out of his impressive groove.
Cutter Gauthier opened the scoring, but it was Troy Terry who slipped a perfect feed to Cutter Gauthier, and Gauthier buried his chance before Knight even tracked where the puck was.
The twenty-four-year-old goalie reacted late as the shot sailed glove side, an early sign that his reads looked a beat behind.
Chicago needed a quick reset, but the next shift only tightened the tension. Olen Zellweger fired a clean wrister from the left circle, and the puck zipped past Knight without a deflection.
That second goal arrived just forty-seven seconds into the game, giving Anaheim two goals on two shots.
Knight entered Sunday with a .920 save percentage across his first 16 appearances with Chicago this season, a respectable start to say the least, but this opening unfolded with none of that early steadiness.
Knight will certainly want both goals back because neither came from difficult angles.
Here are the two goals captured in the social posts.

Spencer Knight and Chicago Blackhawks struggle early

Fans felt the frustration right away, and the United Center groaned after the second goal, before fans could even arrive in their seats due to the snowstorm in Chicago Sunday.
Anaheim continued pushing after the early burst, scoring their third goal on just 9 shots on goal.
The Blackhawks still need cleaner exits and faster puck support in front of their young goalie, but Sunday reminded everyone how thin the margin can be when early mistakes compound.
