Official trade offers submitted in exchange for Blackhawks' Lukas Reichel

Over the past week, multiple reports emerged confirming that the Chicago Blackhawks started to listen to teams interested in Lukas Reichel on the trade market.

The 23-year-old forward has faced his fair share of struggles since joining the NHL in 2022.

Now, with the depth on the Blackhawks roster, he could be considered expendable by Kyle Davidson and the Hawks management team, especially with his contract expiring at the end of the upcoming season.

On the latest 32 Thoughts episode, Elliotte Friedman shared an update on Reichel's situation in Chicago.

The renowned insider revealed that there is plenty of interest on the market for a player with great potential like Reichel, but the Hawks are in no rush to make a trade happen; they will take their time to make the best decision.

The forward also has a very cap-friendly $1,200,000 AAV contract, which makes him an interesting depth addition for teams strapped by the salary cap this year.

Friedman stated that teams have offered late-round draft picks for Reichel and that the Hawks are currently exploring these options.

Reichel's offensive potential is undeniable. He had two 50-point seasons in the AHL but has struggled to bring that offensive impact to the next level.

In 169 NHL games, the German forward tallied 54 points, including 20 goals.

It'll be interesting to see if the Hawks will be ready to part ways with him for a late-round draft pick in the first weeks of the regular season.
