The Chicago Blackhawks organization made an official announcement regarding two franchise legends.

Earlier in the offseason, when the Chicago Blackhawks announced the celebrations surrounding their Centennial season, a massive statement was made.
Indeed, the organization announced that they would create a Hall of Fame for players whose numbers aren't in the rafters of the United Center but whose contributions to the team over the years still deserve recognition.
The Blackhawks chairman and CEO Danny Wirtz stated at the time:
"The concept of a Hall of Fame has been in the works for a long time. If we're going to do it, let's do it right. Let's be thoughtful. Let's think of the criteria. Let's think about how we do this, where it lives, how it comes to life, like all the details that go into it. So when we launch it, we're not going to launch it half-assed. It's going to be something really well presented, a real honor and something that can be sustainable kind of in perpetuity as a way to honor our history and our past."

"I truly believe the wait will be worth it. Look, those teams mean so much to me personally and to so many fans. But when you do it, you really want to get it done right. I think the way in which we plan to celebrate those three Cups in '10, '13 and '15, I think will be really special and kick off sort of a series of things with that group of alumni that are new in the alumni world as retired players, for the most part."

Now, the team revealed who will be the first two members of their HoF.

Chicago Blackhawks Induct Two Players To Hall of Fame

On Friday morning, the team revealed that Steve Larmer and Duncan Keith will be inducted into the Blackhawks' HoF:
Larmer spent 12 seasons with the Blackhawks between 1980 and 1993.
While he had some success in Chicago, notably recording a 101-point season in 1991, he also scored 121 points in 107 playoff games with the team.
As for Keith, he won three Stanley Cups with the team in 2010, 2013, and 2015.
He took part in nearly 1,200 games with the Hawks before playing the final season of his career with the Edmonton Oilers in 2021-22.
It's a well-deserved honor for these two players.
Stay tuned for more.
