Connor Bedard finally breaks his silence on Team Canada 4 Nations Face-off roster snub

One of the more notable snubs from the 4 Nations Faceoff roster for Canada in February was Chicago Blackhawks forward Connor Bedard.

But he's keeping a good attitude about it and admits that he thinks it's because he got off to a slower start than he would have liked in his 2nd NHL year.

Bedard was the 1st overall pick by the Blackhawks in the 2023 NHL Entry Draft after they came in 1st place for the Draft Lottery. He's about to go into his 3rd year in the NHL and isn't signed beyond 2026, but both sides are working toward an extension that would keep him in Chicago long-term.

Even though he wasn't invited to the 4 Nations Faceoff to be part of Canada's team, he was included in the list of over 40 names to come to Calgary for Canada's Orientation Camp for the Winter Olympics.

The 2026 Olympics, which are going to be held in Milan, will be the 1st time since 2014 that NHL players have participated.

In 2010 and 2014, Canada took home the gold medal. Bedard hopes that not only will he make the final roster for the Olympic team, but that he will also help Canada take home the gold once again.
