Chicago Blackhawks announce intriguing signing of an intriguing defenseman

The Chicago Blackhawks organization announced the re-signing of defenseman Chris Cameron to the Indy Fuel, their East Coast Hockey League affiliate.
Coming back to the Chicago Blackhawks organization once again is defenseman Chris Cameron, who was re-signed by the Indy Fuel, the team's East Coast Hockey League affiliate.
He issued a statement in which he declared he was "so happy" to be back with the team for another season.
I'm so happy to be back in Indy, it feels like home for me now! All the excitement and energy that the fans brought to our new arena last year was amazing, and I am fired up to be a part of the organization again this season!
Last year, he was named the 10th captain in team history.
He had 11 points (2G, 9A) in 67 games for the Fuel last year. Before being signed by the Fuel, Cameron spent 4 years playing in the Ontario Hockey League for the Barrie Colts.
The Blackhawks recently announced the re-signing of goalie Spencer Knight
Coming into the year with the tandem of Spencer Knight and Arvid Soderblom, Blackhawks GM Kyle Davidson decided to make sure that Knight would be sticking around for the foreseeable future.
The Blackhawks announced that Knight was re-signed to a 3 year deal with an AAV (average annual value) of $5,833,333.
They had also resigned Soderblom, who was an RFA, to a 2 year deal.
This reaffirms Davidson's commitment to the youth movement in Chicago, which will now be led by coach Jeff Blashill, known for his work in helping develop young players.
