Chicago Blackhawks prospect Anton Frondell is currently sending shockwaves through the hockey world at only 18 years old, confirming why he was drafted third overall in the NHL.

Analysts were unanimous about who would be the first overall pick at the 2025 NHL Draft. Matthew Schaeffer was the best player available, and after winning the lottery, the New York Islanders got to take him.
Many more debates were held about who should be drafted second and third overall.
Two forwards were in the race, but ultimately, the San Jose Sharks decided to take Michael Misa with the 2nd pick, and the Chicago Blackhawks ended up getting Anton Frondell.
The two players are poised for great NHL careers, but now, a lot of people are starting to consider Frondell as the best forward who was available at the Draft.

Anton Frondell Impresses In SHL With Three-Point Game

It's hard to say that a player was a better choice than another before they've even played a single regular season game in the NHL.
Developing there can be very beneficial for the players. Although the ice format isn't the same, it's one of the hardest leagues to compete in.
Being able to produce in the SHL, especially at a young age, is very impressive.
Earlier this week, Frondell made headlines after he scored a Michigan goal during a game. Today, he added two goals and an assist to his total point tally.
After nine games, he already has eight points, producing at a 23-goal-per-season rhythm.
To compare, the top scorer in the league, David Tomasek, had 24 goals and 57 points last season, at 29 years old, and only one player reached the 30-goal mark.
Frondell is set to come to North America after the season. He will bring a lot of depth on the Blackhawks lineup, the same way Michael Misa will bring this year in San Jose.
It'll be interesting to see how the two players develop and who will stand out from the draft class.
