The Montreal Canadiens surprised everyone on Saturday when they announced that head coach Martin St. Louis was taking a break from the team.
The only details given were that St. Louis had to step away for family reasons, and there was no set return date.
During an interview with French media on Saturday night, Canadiens defenseman David Savard accidentally revealed more about St. Louis' absence. He mentioned that the team was playing for St. Louis' son.
"We're going to try and get a win for his son," Savard said during the interview.
