Western Conference Team Officially Has a Trade in Place and It's Revealed..
The Edmonton Oilers have had quite the confusing off-season but things are all starting to make sense for the blue and orange, and their fan base. The Oilers lost both goaltenders, Mike Smith retired and Mikko Koskinen decided to take his talents elsewhere, being a league in Switzerland.
Kurt Leavins recently revealed some news that the Oilers will be signing Ryan McLeod to a one-year deal which will be at a cost of $800,000, but they do not plan to keep the young 22 year old...
It has been stated that the signing will not be official until the Edmonton Oilers can find a new home for McLeod, meaning another sign-and trade is taking place in the Oilers organization.
McLeod is a young kid who has yet to break out of his shell, scoring 9 goals and 12 assists last season on the Oilers bottom forward lines was not a horrible stat line, but the Oilers have other plans, and those plans are to bring in a forward with more NHL experience, the forward rumoured is Evan Rodrigues, a goal scorer who is coming off a solid season with the Pittsburgh Penguins.
