The Flames Are Not Done After Signing Kadri: Pursuing A Goal Scorer on The Free Agent Market

The Calgary Flames have made a tremendous splash during the 2021-22 NHL offseason, highlighted by bringing in Jonathan Huberdeau, Mackenzie Weeggar and most recently Nazem Kadri, along with their 2022 NHL Draft selections.

Apparently the Flames aren't quite finished with their quest to bring in new talent, and it's been rumoured that they've shown significant interest in forward Evan Rodrigues, of the Pittsburgh Penguins, who is yet to sign a new contract ahead of the 2022-23 NHL season.
On Thursday during the 32 thoughts podcast on Sporstnet, it was revealed that the Flames are still skimming through the free agent pool, in hope of bringing in another forward. According to insider Elliotte Friedman, it is believed that the Flames are pursuing an additional free agent forward - he specifically said Evan Rodrigues' name.
