It's unfortunate that Petr Mrazek has suffered several injuries in recent seasons. This played a role in his departure from Toronto, where he was traded along with a 2022 1st-round pick for the Blackhawks' 2022 2nd-round pick.

Mrazek currently has one year left on his contract with a rebuilding team, although not a particularly strong one.
Goalies getting paid more than Jeremy Swayman next season:

— Chris Driedger
— Ilya Samsonov
— Petr Mrazek
— Jake Allen
— Joonas Korpisalo
— Spencer Knight
— Ville Husso
— Cal Petersen

How we feel about Swayman's contract?
Despite his GAA being over 3.66 and a .894 SV%, Mrazek has done his best in front of an inexperienced and diverse team.
Meanwhile, Jeremy Swayman, the Boston Bruins' 1B goalie and part of a Presidents Trophy club, is earning less than Mrazek. After arbitration, Swayman is now making $3.475 million AAV for one year. He played 37 games for the Bruins, going 24-6 with a .920 SV%.
Mrazek, on the other hand, is being paid $4.4 million AAV while facing a barrage of shots and serving as the team's veteran goalie.
It's a bit embarrassing for the Boston Bruins, isn't it? It's a hell of a discount.
