Rumours emerged that Patrick Kane had notified Blackhawks GM that should he be traded, he would not want to be moved to the Toronto Maple Leafs, and according to sources the reports are false.

According to Kevin Weekes there was a belief that Kane didn't want to go to the Leafs, and a report from The Hockey Writers argued the sentiment, stating there was no truth to the statement.

Surely with preseason upon us, an announcement is increasingly more likely. And Kane holds fellow American Auston Matthews in high-regard.

The tweets and reaction to the rumours and Kane's comments continue to grow, but when will the future Hall of Famer be moved, and if he is in fact moved, where will he go?
