Patrick Kane's new contract potentially revealed by insider

As Patrick Kane's contract comes to an end this season, he is set to become an unrestricted free agent. There is much speculation as to where he will end up, as he is included on the top 50 list of pending free agents.

This raises the issue of salary, and according to projections on DailyFaceoff.com, Kane's next contract could be for 3 years at an average annual value of $5.75 million.

This is a significant decrease from the $10.5 million AAV he signed for in 2015, but his production has also declined.

Nevertheless, he would still be a valuable addition to a team in need of scoring depth on the second line.

Even with the discount, there isn't much risk involved in signing Kane, as he still managed to put up 57 points this season, despite splitting his time between the New York Rangers and the Chicago Blackhawks.

This will make him available to a lot more contenders with his contract decreasing nearly 50%.
