The Blackhawks game on Tuesday night in Vancouver was tough to watch. While they managed to put up 2 goals in a losing effort, they were outshot 48-14 and yet somehow it gets worse than it seems.

The Blackhawks were only able to register 5 shots on goal at even strength in the game, which is the lowest by any team in the NHL in almost two seasons. The lifeless effort was also the fewest shots on goal at even strength for the Blackhawks since at least 2007.

The veterans on the Blackhawks tried to fuel the offense with some good old fashioned physicality, but it simply was not enough. The Blackhawks were on a great stretch of hockey, going 6-1-0 in their previous 7 games. The Blackhawks can only go up from here, but with the trade deadline quickly approaching, will they?
