Long-Time NHL Veteran Suddenly Announces Retirement

A 13-year NHL veteran has announced his retirement only a few short week before training camp begins.

Quebec native, and most recently Montreal Canadiens player Mathieu Perreault has decided to retire from the game.
Perreault played his most recent season with the Canadiens, but missed significant time due to post-surgical issues persisting, in respect to his eye.
The, now retired Canadien played 708 NHL games, during his 13-year career Perreault scored 143 goals, 209 assists for 352 career NHL points.
