Gabriel was drafted in the third round of the 2013 draft by the Minnesota Wild. Gabriel bounced around from franchise to franchise hoping to crack the main roster and become a mainstay in an NHL lineup. Over his 9-year professional career, Gabriel played for Minnesota, New Jersey, San Jose, Chicago, and Toronto. Gabriel skated in 52 games at the NHL level over his career and tallied a total of five points.
