Chris Kreider Makes a Bold Statement About Trouba Being Named Captain
The New York Rangers revealed some interesting news this week that Jacob Trouba will be named the teams next captain. Rangers Fans and opposing teams fans were the opposite of pleased, and sure let the fan base know over social media.
As you can tell a lot of people weren't happy, and many expected Kris Kreider OR Adam Fox to be named captain. But Kris Kreider released a surprising message after the announcement of Trouba's captaincy was revealed.
''if you ask the guys in the locker room, 100% of them will tell you that he's been our captain without actually wearing the "c" for the last couple of years. i'm incredibly happy for him to have this honor and to represent this team because of everything be does for us. he has broad shoulders and no matter the situation and context. he's himself as a person and how he leads. there's no ego to him off the ice or on the ice, and he represents the game, his teammates, and his opponents.''
