Andrew Shaw was just introduced to the National Hockey League in the 2011-2012 season to tag along for two cups underneath the young players belt within his first 3 years in the NHL.
Andrew Shaws career ended short as Chicago Blackhawks team officials suggested he hung up the skates before long term concussion issues and head injuries become a common issue. He still does his part in helping with the Blackhawks organization as he was hired on within the past few seasons.
Shaw is still within the Blackhawks organization- not as a player but a certain part of management, and he was more than happy when the Blackhawks announced their new head coach Luke Richardson.
Shaw had some words to say, and they were nothing but positive words!
«I'm jacked up. .. I'm pretty excited for Blackhawks players and Blackhawks fans that he's gonna be there next year.»
-Andrew Shaw
Shaw's former teammate and current Florida Panther Ben Chiarot had more to say as well!
"I think I speak for all the defencemen when I say that we'd all go through a wall for Luke, " Ben Chiarot said after the Canadiens beat the Golden Knights 3-2 in overtime in Game 3. "That's the best compliment you can give a coach. We'd go through a wall for him because we know he'd go through a wall for us. He's a player's coach.»
