The New York Islanders will have to deal with a major injury that has hit the lineup. Defenseman Mike Reilly took a big hit from Jordan Greenway earlier in November.

He'd have to be stretchered off of the ice, due to the severity of the hit and the concussion.
The fallout from the injury was unknown, until recently.
While out on injury Reilly had to undergo a series of tests, which caught something out of the norm.
There's something irregular dealing with his heart, and he will have to undergo a procedure that will keep him off of the ice for the next several months.
«It was picked up through the different echocardiograms that you do for different reasons that you go through with any post-concussion situation,» Lamoriello said.

Reminder, that this is unrelated to the concussion but was found while tests were taking place. This is uncanny and could be life-saving for the Islanders defenseman.
By the way, GM Lou Lamiorello discusses the condition, it sounds like it may be congenital( he may have been born with it, unknowingly).
This is tough news for Reilly, who was drafted in 2011 by the Columbus Blue Jackets.
Reilly has played 411 games in the NHL, scoring 122 points( 14 G, 108 A), and played 61 games last season split between the Florida Panthers and New York Islanders.
We wish Reilly, a speedy and safe recovery and hope to see him skating on the ice once he's ready to!
