Chelios's Tribute to Kane: A Standing Ovation at the United Center

Chris Chelios' jersey retirement ceremony at the United Center on Sunday was a big deal, especially with former Blackhawks star Patrick Kane making his first return to the arena as a visitor.
It was a must-watch game, and if you missed it, you might have overlooked a remarkable moment of sportsmanship from an NHL legend.
During his speech, Chelios took a moment to recognize and praise Kane, calling him the greatest American-born hockey player in NHL history.
He even predicted that Kane would have his own jersey retired at the United Center someday, drawing a standing ovation for Kane, with even Wayne Gretzky joining in.
Chelios ended on a light note, jokingly warning Kane not to steal his spotlight. If you missed this heartwarming moment, you can catch it in the video below:
"Patrick Kane will go down as the greatest American-born player... Just don't go stealing my thunder today."
