Former Chicago Blackhawks forward Alex Nylander has re-signed with the Toronto Maple Leafs organization where his brother William plays, signing a 1 year extension with the Toronto Marlies.

Former Chicago Blackhawks forward Alex Nylander, who played for the team, has signed a new professional contract with a former Original 6 foe.
Nylander is continuing his career with the Toronto Maple Leafs organization, signing a 1 year extension with the AHL affiliate Toronto Marlies, where he played most of this year.
Taken 8th overall by the Buffalo Sabres in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft, Alex Nylander is the brother of Toronto Maple Leafs forward William Nylander, one of the top forwards in the League today.
Nylander would be traded by the Sabres to the Blackhawks in 2019 and played 65 games for Chicago in 2019-20 and wore sweater No. 92, the same number his father Michael Nylander wore with the franchise during his own playing career.
Nylander has also played for the Pittsburgh Penguins and Columbus Blue Jackets. He has 49 points (25G, 24A) in 126 career NHL games.
