Per a report from NHL analyst David Pagnotta, the trade of Lukas Reichel to the Vancouver Canucks could be just the 1st of many upcoming moves by Canucks GM Patrik Allvin.

The Lukas Reichel era with the Chicago Blackhawks ended when he was shipped to the Vancouver Canucks for a 4th round pick in the 2027 NHL Entry Draft.
He was in the final year of his contract with an AAV (average annual value) of $1.2 million and can become an RFA in the summer.
But per a new report from NHL analyst David Pagnotta, the trade of Reichel to the Canucks could be just the 1st of many impending moves on the part of Canucks GM Patrik Allvin.
"Boston is interesting. Casey Mittelstadt is out there out there again. Pavel Zacha was a player that they explored and took calls on last season. From the Canucks perspective, those are two players that would appeal.

There are players they are exploring on and I would imagine that Boston would be a club that Allvin and (President Jim) Rutherford are going to at least poke on to see what the price tag would be for either of those players."

The Canucks want to get back to the playoffs after a miserable year last season that saw them miss.

The Blackhawks Traded Lukas Reichel To The Canucks

Reichel, who is in the last year of his current contract, found out about the trade while he was shopping for a Halloween costume.
Allvin, who had scouted Reichel in Germany, said that he's happy to have him on the team now.
Obviously, we liked him as a person and character too, so we're excited to get him in here and continue to work with him.

I think it's our job as an organization, with our coaches and the development staff we have, to help him take his game to the next level. He's still young, so I believe there is more to come.

So far this year, Reichel has 4 points (2G, 2A).
