Surprise scene involving Connor Bedard who was spotted with an unexpected player

Connor Bedard ended the 2024-25 season with 67 points (23-44) and with a statement that he wants to get faster. It seems he's continued to pursue that goal this offseason and had some interesting company all the while.

At the "Kaivo Hockey" training, which is led by Justin Rai, an elite trainer for NHL players who want to develop their game further, Bedard would be joined by Macklin Celebrini.

Celebrini ended his first season in the NHL with the San Jose Sharks and scored 63 points (25-38), and unlike his 2023 counterpart Bedard, he wouldn't come away with the Calder Trophy.

Instead of dwelling on that, he joined Blackhawks' superstar Bedard in on-ice drills. which looked to improve stick handling and passing, as you see below, the amount of activity going on in this one:

Kaivo is a hockey system that is created to improve skating and has expanded to Abbotsford recently. While we're unsure of what location this happened at, it sounds like Bedard has kept his promise to us all this offseason.

Could this be the trigger that pushes him to newer heights in the NHL? Surely, competing with the 2024 1st-round pick, Macklin Celebrini, should be a motivating factor alone as well.

While we haven't seen Celebrini and Bedard go head-to-head often, it should evolve into an exciting clash as these two continue to progress in their respective NHL careers.
