Surprise removal from the Blackhawks lineup following return of struggling forward

The Chicago Blackhawks are set to take on the red hot Colorado Avalanche in a highly anticipated game on Wednesday, at the United Center in Chicago.

The Blackhawks are 4-6-0 in their last ten matchups, where the Avalanche are steamrolling through opponents for a record of 8-1-1 in their last ten, lead by Stars Nathan MacKinnon and Mikko Rantanen.

While facing the gritty contender of a roster that Colorado has, the Blackhawks will have to match their toughness despite being a young and small team, but head coach Anders Sorensen's lineup move is currently turning heads.

The Blackhawks have announced that Lukas Reichel, who's deeply struggled with just three goals in 34 games this season, will be returning to the lineup and replacing a veteran that's been key to the teams little bit of success this season.

Forward Pat Maroon, confirmed by head coach Anders Sorensen, will be removed from the lineup tonight as Lukas Reichel is taking his place.

A move that truly does not make much sense, taking out Pat Maroon, a 3X Stanley Cup Champion and 800+ game NHL veteran for a struggling Lukas Reichel, who has a career +/- rating of negative (-) 51, and 15 goals through 133 career games.
