A former Chicago Blackhawks, Anaheim Ducks, Carolina Hurricanes, Boston Bruins, Dallas Stars, and NHL goaltender of 14 seasons, Anton Khudobin, has officially announced his retirement from the game of hockey at the age of 39.

Drafted 206th overall by the Minnesota Wild in the 2004 NHL entry draft, Khudobin later on proved to be one of the biggest steals of the class, and now plans to take his hockey talents to a management role moving forward.
«I have plans - to work in hockey, in management.«

-Anton Khudobin

The longtime goaltender tallied up 128 wins, a save percentage of 91.6%, and 12 shutouts in 287 NHL games, which spanned across several organizations, such as the Minnesota Wild, Boston Bruins, Carolina Hurricanes, Anaheim Ducks, Dallas Stars, and the Chicago Blackhawks, from 2009 to 2023.

Khudobin was traded to the Chicago Blackhawks in a very unexpected deal in 2023

On March 2nd, Khudobin was acquired by the Blackhawks in a trade with the Dallas Stars which saw Chicago dealing Max Domi away.
He had one of his worst career moments in his debut with the Blackhawks in 2023 that will certainly always be in the back of his head.
Luckily for Khudobin, he got to live the dream of every young hockey player, raising the Stanley Cup in 2011 with the Boston Bruins.
During the 2019-20 season with the Stars, he led the entire NHL in save percentage with .930% across 30 games played.
Born in Russia, he represented several teams around his hometown throughout his career outside of the NHL, including the Metallurg Magnitogorsk (RSL), Atlant Mytishchi (KHL), Sokol Krasnoyarsk (VHL) and Sibir Novosibirsk (KHL). Khudobin won a Russian title with Metallurg in the 2007 season.
