Quinn Hughes far from impressed of Spencer Knight's performance in Blackhawks vs. Canucks Wednesday

The Chicago Blackhawks beat the Vancouver Canucks yesterday 5-2 thanks to a hat trick from Tyler Bertuzzi, the second of his NHL career, and an empty net goal from Vancouver's own Connor Bedard.

Goaltender Spencer Knight also helped make the win possible with 43 saves, his most recent impressive performance that helped Chicago break a three game losing skid.

But one player on Vancouver's side who would not give much credit to Knight was captain Quinn Hughes, who said there wasn't anything special about how Knight played.

Hughes had an assist and only a single shot on goal.

Even though Hughes is signed for another year with the Canucks beyond this one, there has been growing speculation that he could want a trade to the opposite coast of North America to play with brothers Jack and Luke and the New Jersey Devils.

Canucks president Jim Rutherford poured fuel on those rumours with some rather frank comments about that possibility, leading many to think that a divorce between Hughes and the Canucks could be in the near future.

Hughes is a former Norris Trophy winner as the NHL's best defenseman.
