«I think that would be amazing. You don't want to see him wear another jersey. You'd rather see him finish his career as a Blackhawk. But I don't know if that's in the cards. It would be a great story and good for the franchise.»

For Kane, the idea of competing against Toews in the NHL is intriguing. The two have only faced off in international tournaments like the Olympics.

Toews has played 1,067 NHL games, scored 833 points (372 G, 511 A), and won three Stanley Cups.

His track record as a winner suggests he'd be welcomed back.
