Jonathan Toews gets brutally honest on signing with the Winnipeg Jets for the 2025-26 NHL season

Toews has been a Winnipeg Jets fan since his toddlers days while growing up in the city, and his childhood dream is now complete.
The 37-year old veteran released a statement across social media, revealing just how thankful he is and his honest thoughts on becoming a Winnipeg Jet.
"Am I dreaming, or is this real life?
My earliest hockey memories are of watching the Jets, pre '96 at the Winnipeg Arena. I remember being glued to my seat in the upper deck, unable to move an inch because the nose bleeds were savagely steep and high, but also because I was immediately mesmerized by the game of hockey.
Never would I have thought that someday I'd skate on the ice down below, my dream of reaching the NHL coming full circle to playing in the very city that raised me.
I've never been more proud to be from Winnipeg. Thank you to everyone for the love and support, and to the Jets organization for making another childhood dream come true."

In just a matter of weeks, we will find out when Toews will be returning to the United Center in Chicago once again, when the league unveils the 2025-26 season schedule.
In the meantime, we wish Toews the best in his return to the NHL and hope for his success moving forward in what are expected to be his last few seasons playing hockey.
