There are multiple NHL players who hit the waiver wire today, presenting an opportunity for the Chicago Blackhawks to add some depth at little cost.

Even though the Chicago Blackhawks continue the work of filling out their roster for 2025-26, there will be a chance for GM Kyle Davidson to add some depth to the team.

Multiple NHL players have hit the waiver wire today and are now free to be selected by any of the other 31 teams, or else be sent back to the AHL.

Travis Boyd would bring almost 300 games of NHL experience to Chicago

One of the most experienced players on that list is forward Travis Boyd, who has played in 299 NHL games after being taken with the 177th overall pick by the Washington Capitals in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.

He's played for the Capitals, Toronto Maple Leafs, Arizona Coyotes and Minnesota Wild, but he did have 22 goals playing for their AHL team, the Iowa Wild, last year.

Another former Coyote, Josh Brown, has exactly 300 games of NHL experience and has played for several teams including the Florida Panthers, Ottawa Senators, Boston Bruins, Coyotes and Edmonton Oilers.
