Chicago Blackhawks receive unfavourable goaltending ranking ahead of upcoming season

The Chicago Blackhawks did not receive a favourable goaltending tandem ranking for the upcoming year, as analysts don't think much of their chances with Spencer Knight and Arvid Soderblom.
It will be a tandem of Spencer Knight and Arvid Soderblom for the Chicago Blackhawks this year, who made a major switch to their crease when they dealt Petr Mrazek to the former divisional foe Detroit Red Wings in March.
But the Knight/Soderblom tandem isn't getting much love from analysts in a recent ranking of the best duos in the NHL.
Arvid Soderblom and Spencer Knight aren't highly thought of by NHL analysts
By all indications, it's going to be a rough go of it for the Blackhawks this year despite the addition of former Stanley Cup winner Andrei Burakovsky from the Seattle Kraken.
Last season, they acquired Spencer Knight from the Florida Panthers, who went on to win their 2nd straight Stanley Cup, for defenseman Seth Jones. They also re-signed Soderblom, who was an RFA, to a new deal.
But the Knight/Soderblom tandem isn't getting much love in a recent ranking.
Analyst Joe Yerdon of Bleacher Report had them ranked 29th of the 32 teams.
»If Knight struggles and it falls on Soderblom to hold it down, that's not what they had in mind. That said, he's (Soderblom) gradually improved over the years and goalies can be late bloomers.

This will also be the 3rd year in the career of Connor Bedard, and he is hoping to take a step forward not only in his own personal stats but for the Blackhawks franchise as a whole that hasn't made the playoffs in 4 years now.
